First, drive across the golden sand dunes and follow part of the famous Dakar Rally route for an unforgettable off-road experience. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking desert landscapes and stop at several scenic viewpoints to take memorable photos.
Next, visit a local nomadic family and enjoy a traditional cup of Moroccan tea while learning about their daily life in the desert. Then, continue to Khamlia Village, a small village near Merzouga that is famous for its rich Gnawa culture and traditional music. Here, you will enjoy a live Gnawa music performance and discover the history of this unique cultural tradition.
After that, visit the seasonal Lake Srij, located beside the golden dunes of Merzouga. During certain times of the year, the lake becomes a resting place for birds migrating between Europe and Africa, making it a great place for nature lovers and photographers.
At lunchtime, enjoy a delicious meal at a local restaurant and taste the famous Berber pizza, a traditional dish from the region. After lunch, you will have some free time to relax, explore the desert, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
Later in the afternoon, head to the camel meeting point and begin your camel ride across the beautiful sand dunes. Along the way, stop to watch the breathtaking sunset over the Sahara Desert before continuing to your luxury desert camp.
Finally, arrive at the camp, where you will enjoy a true desert experience. Relax in your comfortable tent, enjoy a freshly prepared Moroccan dinner, and spend the evening listening to traditional Berber music around the campfire. Afterward, you can dance, sing, and enjoy the peaceful night under the stars while experiencing the warm hospitality of the local Berber people.
